Text Blackvine Bank Robbery

House Seneda recently opened a new bank in the village of Blackvine. This would have been a very auspicious occasion; however, when we arrived in the company of Jolise Seneda, we learned that the bank had just been robbed of 300 talents by the hired guard and a dozen of his roguish friends. Mordheim of the Blackvine Militia and bio:Kered of the Traevant Militia, and others, offered to assist Jolise Seneda in the recovery of this money.

We traveled to the desolate village of Grey Sands to intercept the infamous villains. When we arrived we saw that a boat was preparing to leave the docks; as soon as we were seen, the boat sped out of sight. Fortunately, the nefarious bank guard had failed to board it before we arrived. A great battle ensued, while the guard fled down to a cellar in an abandoned building. He was followed and promptly rendered unconscious. Upon questioning, the cowardly and deceitful guard claimed that he had been hired by the warlord Terelcus, who had the specific aim of harming House Seneda in this enterprise. He further claimed that he had been appointed to meet Terelcus on the north side of Windward in two months, and that he would assist us in capturing the warlord.

We did not trust him but the prospect of bringing in a warlord was appealing, so we decided to imprison the guard and seek verification of his tale. He agreed to this and followed us back to Blackvine. However, on the way back a very impressive arrow shot from afar took the guard through the neck; he died instantly. We saw no trace of the exceptionally skilled archer, and quietly returned to Blackvine to confer with Jolise Seneda.

She was perplexed by the guard's story, claiming that her family had done business with Terelcus for a long time, and that he would never have betrayed her family. She said she would look into matters and told all of those present that House Seneda was grateful for their help.
