Missions¶
Active Mission System¶
Missions can be found across several taverns in the cities scattered throughout the Republic of Iridine. These missions come in various types and are offered based on the skills that you know and fall into these categories: Adventurer, Bounty Hunter, Delivery, Rescuer, Theft and Trader.
If you wish to be offered a mission, simply hang around in one of the taverns and wait for someone to come in. It may take several minutes before one shows up. Once they come in ask them what you can do for them (you can pretty much say anything to trigger their speech) and they will tell you what they want or will offer you. Some of these missions can be quite dangerous, but they will usually be offered closer to your skill level and may still send you in areas above your skill level. You can choose to accept or decline the mission. You can only have one active mission at a time and you can abandon them at any time by using the ABANDON MISSION command line. If you have the Altene Oath Lore, you cannot abandon a mission and will have to wait until the timer (??3 hours) has passed before you can be offered another one. Only two NPCs can be in a tavern offering missions and if you do not want any of these two missions, you will have to leave the tavern for at the very least 5 minutes until they disappear to receive new ones.
Tavern Locations:
Pego: Bar in Iridine, just north of the Stone Toga Inn Riverside
Lefty: Master's Choice in Iridine, in the Harbor
Wyvric: Westward's Tavern in Quartz Heights
Unath: Bar at the entrance to the The Steps
Elima: The Old Goat Inn in Vetallun, close to the bridge
a seedy-looking proprietor: Bar in Blackvine
Cirias: Barbarian's Feet Inn in Rock Valley
Mnelos: Blue Breakwater Inn in Seld
I'm on a mission, now what?
- Mission NPCs will tell you sufficient information to complete a mission. Some of the locations you may be sent to might not be familiar to you, but if you're having problems figuring something out, ask your friends! When you meet the requirements to complete the mission, you will receive an echo stating such. Sometimes, you won't be able to complete a mission for a variety of reasons and that is OK. In those situations you can wait for the mission to time out or manually abandon the mission with the "abandon mission" command.
How do I get the mission type I want?
- The types of missions that spawn are based on a number of factors based mainly on the location and the presense or absense of players with certain skills or qualities. The design here is to reflect what the locals of the area need more than spitting out the particular high-value mission that a player might be trying to farm. If the area doesn't have a mission your character is interested in, leave and return later or make your way to another place that spawns mission NPCs.
Where can I find mission NPCs?
- Right now, you can find mission NPCs in bars all around the gameworld. Pego's and Lefty's in Iridine, Unath's in the Steps, Wyvric's in Quartz Heights, Elima's in Vetallun, The bar with the seedy-looking proprietor in Blackvine, Cirias' in Rock Valley, and Mnelos' in Seld.
What about my Altene Oath Lore?
- Players with this lore will have the opportunity to call on their oath when accepting some but not all missions, and will receive a significant boost to rewards if the mission is completed with the drawback of not being able to willingly abandon the mission.

Take him out and not only will you be doing a service for Iridine, but I'll make sure one thousand, two hundred fifty-four denars and two sens finds its way into your account at The Vetallun Bank.
