She Has my Heart

What is it in this Lady that can so possess a man?
Is it in her walk? For she walks with grace, to be sure.
A dancer's grace has she, every step just so.
What is it in this Lady that can captivate me so?
Be it in her eyes? Her smile? Hypnotic beyond the crystals of a sorcerer.
As if a Divine Priest did free her from the stone.
What is it in this Lady that takes Laskari's heart?
She is like art, like a song, or a poem.
Finely crafted, a work of great grace, and perfect symmetry.
It is as if every line, every curve and joint was the craft of a god, and with his greatest blessing. She is fair is my love.
Yet what is the magic? What so captures me? There are fair Ladies aplenty.
This, above all else, is what I must answer.
This is my mystery, my puzzle.
The tumbler of my endless study.
And the answer comes, like love, with warmth and a smile.
It is her heart, it is her caring, it is the ease with which she smiles.
For it is this, her heart, her soul, that makes her truly a Lady.

To my Dear Love

I might not be that good with words,
But I know I have to try,
Your face is fairer than the birds
Singing in the airy breeze.
Your touch is like a sweet caress,
Your love is like a fire.
And then know true happiness.
With one look upon your sweet face,
Oh, dear Seraph, I love you so.
Your beauty outshines the sun.
And when I take your hand in wedlock,
I'll be yours, devoted, forever.

From The Front..

Dear love,
I know not if you'll receive this letter
but maybe then it's for the better.
My friends and I may die here
but it isn't death we've come to fear.
Dear love,
My greatest fear I have to say,
is not seeing your smile just one more day,
not touching your hair full of the sun,
not feeling your warmth when the day is done.
Dear love,
Your eyes so blue, deep as the sea.
Oft times I wish you were here with me.
Your touch would make me forget this war
and all the pain that I have bore.
Dear love,
These cinners here have given their best
often putting us through quite a test.
Many have died on the field this day.
I feel my own life draining away.
Dear love,
My time is short, I must fight on,
my love for you it still burns strong,
but if this note falls in your hands
then know Ive died for our land.
Dear love,
Know Ive fought for Iridine
for all that is yours and is mine
know I gave my life willingly.
My dying hope is your face to see.
Dear love,
With this I close for I must rest,
my heart barely pumping in my chest,
my breathing is shallow, but to you I must write,
and send my love and my final goodnight.
Echo.

I Have

Have you ever loved someone?
Loved them more then the sun itself?
More than all the world can hold?
I have
Have you loved them so much
that you are with them in your dreams,
in your thoughts, every moment of your life?
I have
Have you ever loved someone?
Ever desired to wake every morning next to them?
and dreamed of falling to sleep the same?
I have
I have loved and still do
As I always intend to I have loved cause I have you
Ever love someone so much
that when they are away it tears you up
Makes you want to sit and cry?
I have
Ever spend the time alone
Wishing they would return home
Wondering if they will again
I have
Ever dreamed that they were there
acting like they gave a care
but then woke to find them gone?
I have
I have loved and still do
as I always intend to
I have loved cause I have you
Ever loved someone so much
that your words don't mean enough
and everything you say is wrong? I have
Ever cared more than could be
but your hands were tied and you could not see
Wishing you could do much more?
I have
Ever thought to say goodbye
would just make you want to die
have you ever loved someone?
I have
I have loved and still do
As I always intend to
I have loved because I have you......

Lovers in the Shadows..

You stare at her from 'neath your cowl,
wishing she was yours
the rage boils hot within your chest
as you see her with another
Within the shadows you long for her
just beyond the light
a ping of love stabs at your heart
when you see her smile
The voice of lust speaks in your heart
amongst the howls of anger
Her love belongs to another
though you think her yours
The jealousy within you breaks
from its pen inside
You rip your sword free of its sheath
and tap him on the shoulder
He turns around
you swing your blade
his blood falls on the floor
and then you wonder
You turn from her and run away
the tears of rage freely flowing
within the shell of solitude
your hatred for him grew
You realize with appalling knowledge
the thing that you have done
you slew a man to love another
but she will not stand you
You stop
you turn you say a prayer
the blade you hold is poised
to take the life, this time you own
The sword comes down
the blood flows forth
you fall upon the ground
the whole time she stands watching you:
Weeping for her lover

Asking Your Love

I know that I've hurt you, not being around,
But I want you to know of the love I have found.
You always cared, were always there,
And my silly ideas, with you I can share.
Although I don't show it, I hide and pretend,
But I know that my love for you cannot end.
There's a void in my heart which I know you can fill
Do you feel the same? How I pray that you will.
It's hard to tell you what you mean to me,
So I'm writing this poem in hope you will see.
Although I've been gone, for quite some time,
I hope when I return, you will be mine;
And that hand in hand, we will walk
And of fairytale gossip we will talk.
My lasting friend, my dearest love,
I feel we are joined by Ereal above;
That we share one dream, one heart, one soul,
With you, my love, my half becomes whole.
For my dearest friend and lasting love, Vanir.

Love I

She was young, when she first came around
New to the city, and the surrounding town
She was lost, and needed help
I offered mine, though I'm just a whelp
I came across her, so young and vibrant
It felt as if I'd been stuck, with a damn trident
As I watched her move, I wanted to drool
But thought to myself, I must keep my cool
She had many friends, they all like her allot
So I left her, with only a thought
If you need me, I will try to be around
Unless I die, then I'd be in the ground
She smiled a smile, so sweet and so true
I could feel, that with her, I'd never be blue
As I left her, in the strange new place
I thought to myself of her beautiful face
We met now and again, talking of this and that
And all I could think of was this woman,
I left the city, had business to attend
As I returned things started to blend
Many others had come, to see this sweet soul
And in my heart, opened a deep hole
I cried a tear, and left the city
For I was a coward, and had much self pity
She searched for me, but I couldn't be found
I was in the caves, trying to be struck down
At that moment, I vowed Love will never last
And decided to put this one in my past
I became a killer, hired for a small fee
So that the weak ones could be set free
I hunted these thieves, and tied them with rope
Then struck at them, as some murderous dope
The thief's words, echoing in my head
The connies are looking for me, so I go to jail
I thought of this, and decided to bail
I decided to leave the city, and made the rocks my bed
I've killed many a men
Taking their belongings and den
Saying a prayer, for their soul
Then throwing their bodies on the coals
I can never love one so much
But all I thought of was her touch
Her eyes, and her embrace
Feeling her smooth lips, against my face
Holding her close, never letting go
How could I love one like her so
I decided to find this love of mine
And try to be together, till the end of time

Love II

Love is not a whisper, once said and it is gone;
Love is not a walking stick, a crutch to lean on.
Love is not the lightning, which will quickly cease to be;
Love is not a painting or an object we can see.
Love is not a pass-time, to keep one amused;
Love will not grow stale the more that it is used.
Love is not a title which makes one sound mature,
Love is a disease for which there is no cure.
Love is like a blossom which flowers every day,
But unlike the course of nature, it never dies away.
Love is like the ocean, full of hopes and fears;
Although there's troubled waters, it never disappears.
So remember this young lover, for what I say is true;
Never lightly use the power of saying:
"I love you".

Alyssa

There be a smile in Midlight
That shines especially bright.
Her simple way sweetens the day
And lightens our spirits all night.
A giggle is innocently
Always reminding me
That walking around without a frown
Reveals just how good life can be.

My Spindle-Needle Soul

Telling me you loved me, walking hand in hand;
Bringing me gifts from afar, trinkets from foreign lands.
Drinking wine together, whispers beneath the stars;
That was the love we shared, not mine, not yours, but ours.
Slowly it started wilting, the blossom of our hearts;
Its petals slowly scattering, tearing us apart.
With each word you gave me, something wasn't there,
The gentle tone of your precious voice, telling me you care.
You slowly stripped my soul, peeling my joy to bare,
And now it's as thin as a spindle needle, naked, barely there.
Then you went, your soul intact, in chase of another girl;
Whilst I was left with my needle-thin soul and a mocking, scornful world.
But whilst you were away, my dear, my soul had time to grow;
And as you couldn't strip it more, the joy began to show.
Each day it would comeback, slowly growing stronger
And I knew that your words or flimsy affairs could peel it away no longer.

My Spindle-Needle Soul (cont.)

When I'd finally grown, and my heart was ripe once more,
You decided you needed my care again and came knocking on my door.
One look in your eyes, I could feel my soul unpeeling
And I knew that, again, you were here to steal my joyous, warming feelings.
For that's what it is, my fickle love, I can finally see,
that the reason you keep me, tied on a string, is to dump your emotions on me.
I'm used as a clown, to keep you amused, or a hobby whenever you're down.
I'm just a second choice to you, but still you keep me around.
It's not that I don't love you, though you don't need me, though there's no
love in your kiss;
No, the reason I can't come back to you ,my love, is simply this:
I've rebuilt my heart from a fragment to a whole,
And every time you leave me, dear, you steal a piece of my soul.

Lovers Grace

What Goddess or Nymph can claim my love's beauty?
What Spirit can match her mystic?
So deep are her eyes, I am lost in them as in the night itself.
A night of joy, a night of joy, a night of splendor.
Her dark tresses, a black to Raven white with envy.
My fair love, her smile is a joy to my heart.
My fair love, she has a dancer's grace.
She walks in that hypnotizing rhythm that lies in a woman's hips.
A dancer's grace indeed, my love.
By all Gods, and all Stars, she is fair!
How the light catches her, just so.
No artist could paint such beauty, such perfection even in its flaws.
A dancer's grace, my love, and a painter's hands, so slim so soft.
Her touch is as light and warm as a summer breeze.
Her caress is beyond the Grace of the Swan.
Her lips are as a blossom, and I would say rose, yet rose is too flamboyant for her.
She is some shyer flower, a softer, thornless bud of green.
More loving, and less prickly is She.
